Welcome to the 2009 STRIMA Conference in Seattle, Washington! |
|
We are delighted you are able to join us in the Emerald City. We understand that historic budget issues facing governments nationwide has made your decision to attend a difficult one. However, we are certian you will be glad you came. |
|
The STRIMA Executive Committee has planned an outstanding educational agenda tailored to address the specific needs of state and provincial risk management programs. There is a mix of general sessions and breakout sessions on timely topics. |
| Another highlight of the conference is the Roundtable discussions. This will give each state or province the opportunity to share their recent challenges and successes, and will set the stage for follow-up discussions and networking that will continue throughout the conference and the year. The STRIMA conference is a time to meet new colleagues, renew friendships, collaborate with your peers and still find time to relax and enjoy the Pacific Northwest. |
|
Conference events will focus on the City of Seattle, nearby rugged mountains (including a live volcano) and picturesque Puget Sound waterways. During the week of the conference, you will get only a glimpse of the Pacific Northwest - so we encourage you to plan personal time in the area before and/or after our conference. |
Stay tuned to the STRIMA website for continuing information about the conference and its events. We will also post links to sites that will be helpful as you plan your trip. |
The Risk Management Division staff has worked hard to make your stay fulfilling and enjoyable. Please let us know if we can help you in any way. |
See you in September! Betty Reed
